Chemists Celebrate Earth Week: SVACS Event Plus Resources

Join us on April 25 11am-2pm at the MLK Library downtown San Jose

To promote the positive role that chemistry plays in the world, ACS established the Chemists Celebrate Earth Week (CCEW) public awareness campaign. During CCEW, ACS members and chemistry enthusiasts celebrate by coordinating events and communicating the importance of chemistry.  

On Saturday, April 25 11am-2pm, the Silicon Valley ACS Section will celebrate CCEW at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Library, Children’s Room, in San Jose. No registration required.  Learn more | Download Flyer (PDF)

April 19–25, 2026 Chemists Celebrate Earth Week focuses on the essential role of trees and forests in building a sustainable world. Trees are more than beautiful—they are essential to life on earth. Beyond providing shelter for countless animals, trees play a critical role in sustaining life through fascinating chemical processes.
